When I kicked off the new year and decided to give up eating meat, eggs, and dairy in favor of a whole foods plant-based lifestyle to heal type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, I knew there would be challenges along the way.
The biggest challenge was giving up cheese. Until about a month ago, I would let it slip into my diet occasionally, which was silly because when I gave up dairy I found out I was allergic to it.
